How Complacent Are YOU?


Demand to your Reps and Senators to quit robbing our country of our most valuable resource and bring our troops home....NOW! Voice your opinion. YOU can run this country as opposed to groups with hidden agendas.

taxes on the wealthy have been cut, and so have programs directed at the poor.
The reason isn't difficult to explain.
Many Americans-- especially those who have been losing ground have given up on politics.
As their incomes have shrunk, they've lost confidence that the "system" will work in their interest.
That cynicism has generated a self-fulfilling prophesy.
Politicians stop paying attention to people who don't vote, who don't work the phone banks or walk the precincts, (those) who have opted out.
And the political inattention seems to justify the cynicism.
Meanwhile, the top tier has experienced precisely the opposite--a virtuous cycle in which campaign contributions have attracted the rapt attention of politicians,
the attention has elicited even more money, which in turn has given the top tier even greater influence.

So, this new era has begun in our country.
What a mess this Obama guy got handed!
Honestly, I keep worrying that we might find that he’s as much of a lying, cheating, corrupt bastard as others we have seen.
I don’t THINK he is, but you never really forget multiple stabs in the back. It freakin’ HURTS,...for a long time.
Maybe he’s just riding the wave of refreshing water that HAD to come in after the sewer-sludge that we were bathing in for eight years. ANYthing would be a relief after that embarrassing piece of humanity that WAS in The White House. That idiot had The Nuclear Finger and he couldn’t even say properly, the word NUCLEAR.
“Noo-klee-urr”, you stupid shit.
I THINK Obama might be better.
But when you’re so far down into the dirt that you can’t even SEE the roses, much less smell ‘em, ANY way is up.

It’s quite possible that even IF Barry is a good man and he ISN’T just another puppet, he might NOT be able to affect a positive change. There are some rather potent powers at work. They have been screwing the world for many years more than America has existed.
HOW?
US! It’s OUR fault!
WE let them. All of our ancestors have let them. We have fallen for the lies, the bull and the sugar coating.

Humans are trusting and complacent.

The trust thing is almost understandable. We all want to feel warm and fuzzy...safe...protected. So we fall for the fears that “they” feed us:
McCarthy-ism, The Soviet Red Threat, The Bomb, The Terrorists, Disease... The HeartBreak of Sciriosis!
We like to look to a saviour. We need shelter from the storm. We run under any umbrella “they” offer us. And we hope...usually believe... that it will be substantial.
The umbrella is leaking like a sieve.

Trust is one contributing factor to the problem. The other is complacency.
Only WE can change things. That means that WE have to get OFF our asses, put DOWN our remotes, controllers and people-isolating mp3 players and DO something to affect change.
Electing a president who espouses hope...one who inspires us to WANT change, is NOT enough.

IF our new and hope-filled President is for real, that is fine. But HE does NOT make the laws. WE do, through our representatives. And many...seemingly most of those representatives are, OVERALL, driving a screw deeper into us every day. They are NOT, overall, doing the best for the country. America has been sold down the river and is STILL being sold as you read this.
RIGHT NOW!

WE are supposed to be making the laws. Our representatives in D.C. are just that: our REPRESENTATIVES.
THEY are there to do what WE say. And we have ALL been letting them do as they like.
They are serving interests other than ours. And it’s our fault. We have not been watching our hats and coats. We sit lazily by and assume that someone else will write that rep, cast that vote and watch what they are doing.
WE are supposed to be doing it ourselves.
We have NOT been doing that.

We have a new day. We have the most powerful tool in the history of humanity. We have communication. And it is really easy now. It’s called the internet. USE it. But use it well.
Watching cute, funny and entertaining videos does not cut it. Do that, but not ONLY that. Take care of business first.
As you read this, “The Powers That Be” are working diligently to cut short your internet freedom and the content of the information that you receive.
Those “powers” want to feed you what THEY want you to hear. It’s called “POPULAR CONTROL”... controlling the people...the masses.
We need to awaken more as to what the hell is going on.

Obama, I hope and tend to believe, is a good man. I really don’t believe that he is just slick talk. But WHETHER or not he is genuine, he is, also, our representative... nothing more.
We, as a nation, elected him as our leader.
He is our leader!
He can lead us, but WE must GUIDE him.
And if we speak loudly enough...if we get of our butts and speak up ENOUGH, he WILL take the path we prescribe... just as with Congress.

Trust and complacency!:
Two really big problems.
